Munich: Animal rights activists free greyhound “Bob Marley” – apartment completely neglected – Munich

Animal rights activists, with the help of the police and fire department, freed a dog from a neglected apartment in Untergiesing. The animal welfare association has been working on the case since April, when neighbors reported that the resident, a 75-year-old woman, had a dog that had never left the apartment. There is also a strong smell coming from the apartment.

Letters and attempts to contact animal rights activists and the veterinary office were unsuccessful. On Tuesday, however, neighbors reported to the animal welfare association that the resident had not left the apartment for four days and that the dog was suddenly constantly pawing at the door, something it had never done before.

The police – in this case: officers from the service dog squad – and the veterinary office were notified, and the fire department opened the apartment door. The resident had apparently died a few days earlier. A frightened Afghan Hound was found in the completely neglected apartment, but it was difficult to recognize as such: its fur was matted, its legs were clumped with hair knots and dried feces.

The animal rights activists named the animal “Bob Marley” and took him to the animal shelter. He will now be looked after there and then found a new home for him.
