Otherwise Schuhbeck would have had to go to prison very soon.
Schuhbeck is at fault and is trying to make up for the damage “in full”, the statement said. Schuhbeck has “worked tirelessly on this in the last few days”. It is important that an investor also assumes his tax liabilities. Such compensation would also have a favorable effect on Schuhbeck’s earlier release from prison.
According to the conviction of the Munich I district court, Schuhbeck has manipulated the cash registers in his restaurants “Orlando” and “Südtiroler Stuben” for years and evaded a total of 2.3 million taxes. Schuhbeck had also admitted that. He is to be jailed for three years and two months.
Schuhbeck has now declared that he wants to read the written verdict in order to be able to understand the tax reductions held against him and the considerations regarding the sentencing. “Should the written reasons support the district court’s verdict, I will ask my lawyers to withdraw the appeal in case of doubt. Until then, I will not relax in my efforts to repair the damage as far as possible,” said Schuhbeck. The written judgment must be available within a few weeks.
