Munich Airport: Two arrest warrants and almost 8,000 euros outstanding – Munich

Despite two open arrest warrants against him, a 30-year-old Turk tried to enter Germany via Munich Airport on Tuesday. During immigration control after a plane from Istanbul landed, the federal police noticed that there were arrest warrants against the man.

An arrest warrant was about a fine of 3,200 euros – or alternatively 80 days’ imprisonment – which the Munich district court had imposed for delaying insolvency. The Ingolstadt public prosecutor’s office also wanted him for an insult and a fine of 3,600 euros or a 90-day prison sentence. In addition, both proceedings involved costs totaling 1,124.77 euros – a total of 7,924.77 euros.

The man was lucky – and had a brother who paid the sum for him so that he could enter the country without any problems.
