Everyone deserves a second chance – this also applies to houses. When it comes to magnificent Wilhelminian style buildings, you don’t need much imagination to see them back in their former glory. But there are houses that age poorly. Office and commercial properties from the post-war period often appear run-down after decades of use: the facades are ugly, the layout of the rooms is no longer up-to-date, the heating, ventilation and electrical systems are outdated, the carpets are rancid. At the latest when no new tenants can be found, such office buildings will be obsolete.
