Munich: 83-year-old pedestrian rolled over by trucks in Bogenhausen – Munich

An 83-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries when crossing Prinzregentenstraße on Monday afternoon on the border between the districts of Haidhausen and Bogenhausen. According to the police, the man wanted to change from the right sidewalk on Saint-Privat-Strasse to Brahmsstrasse at around 11:20 a.m. He stepped in front of a truck that was stuck in a traffic jam at the intersection with Richard-Strauss-Strasse because of a red light. When the column started moving again at the green light, the 58-year-old truck driver also drove into it and collided with the pedestrian.

The 83-year-old fell on the road. The rear left tire of the tractor rolled over the right side of his body. An ambulance took the seriously injured to a hospital. According to the police, his condition was unchanged as of Tuesday afternoon. The driver of the semitrailer from the district of Munich was unharmed.
