Around 300,000 people have visited the Tollwood Winter Festival on Theresienwiese in the past two weeks. Despite the extreme snowfall, which meant that the festival had to close on December 2nd, the number of visitors from previous years was maintained, the organizer reported on Sunday.
The Market of Ideas at Tollwood is open until December 23rd and a big party with live music is planned for New Year’s Eve. This year’s festival’s motto is “Art washes the dust of everyday life from the soul” and is intended to remind people of the “existential meaning of art”.
