A 22-year-old man from Fürth attacked and injured a Free State police officer on Sunday afternoon. The 22-year-old was caught with a 17-year-old companion on an ICE train from Nuremberg to Munich without a ticket. Since both said they didn’t have any ID with them, the train attendant called in the uniformed police officer who was traveling with them.
When he checked the Fürth man’s bag and found identification documents, the 22-year-old suddenly struck with his elbow, injuring the officer in the face and neck. The 17-year-old filmed the event with a cell phone. During the scuffle, an irritant sprayer fell out of the 22-year-old’s pocket. The federal police arrested the attacker and his fellow passengers at Munich Central Station.
