Münchner Künstlerhaus: annual exhibition of the artists’ cooperative. – Munich

For many years, the Munich artists’ cooperative royally privileged 1868 (MKG for short) was associated with the Haus der Kunst as an exhibition venue. Because of the planned renovation, she had to leave there just like other artists’ associations ten years ago and found refuge in the Egyptian Museum. Last year, the annual exhibition of the MKG was to take place in the Munich Künstlerhaus, with which it also has a historical connection. But because of Corona, they went online instead.

Under the title “Back to the Future” and with works by 77 artists, it’s finally working on site. These include paintings, graphics and sculptures such as the bronze “Dove” seen here with a face mask by Vitali-Anne Safronov. The “back” in the title stands for the fact that purely representational works are being shown this year. The “future” is reflected in the fact that the exhibition is hybrid. After the Künstlerhaus it will be extended online and will then be available from April 25th to July 31st mkg1868.de to reach.
