“Top Gun: Maverick” nominated for several MTV awards

In May, the gold-colored popcorn cups will again be awarded at the MTV Movie & TV Awards in Hollywood. The action strip with film star Tom Cruise has a good chance of winning the coveted award.
The action film “Top Gun: Maverick” with Tom Cruise as the daredevil pilot has six chances to win the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The US broadcaster MTV announced the nominations for this year’s film and television awards on Wednesday (local time). The trophies are scheduled to be presented in Los Angeles on May 7th.
“Top Gun: Maverick” competes for the award for the best film with “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “Elvis” and “Nope”, among others. In addition to Tom Cruise, the category “Best Performance” also includes Austin Butler (“Elvis”), Florence Pugh (“Don’t Worry Darling”), Keke Palmer (“Nope”) and Michael B. Jordan (“Creed III”) represent. As the best series, “Stranger Things”, “The Last of Us”, “The White Lotus” and “Wednesday” among others have several chances of winning.
The prizes are presented in the form of gold-colored popcorn cups. Fans vote online for the winners of the audience awards for feature films and television productions, which have been awarded since 1992. With categories such as best kiss, villains, heroes and fight scenes, it is aimed at the younger audience. Actress Drew Barrymore is the host this time on stage.
