Actors such as Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant have starred alongside the animated bear. The producers have also announced a star cast for the third Paddington part.
After two big screen appearances, Bear Paddington is coming to the big screen for a third time – again with an all-star cast. In addition to Oscar winner Olivia Colman (49, “The Favorite”), Antonio Banderas (62, “Pain and Glory”) and Rachel Zegler (22, “West Side Story”) are new to “Paddington 3”, the producers said on Friday (local time) on Twitter and Instagram. Emily Mortimer (51, “Mary Poppins’ Returns”) fills in for Sally Hawkins, who played the family patriarch Mrs. Brown in the first two episodes (2014 and 2017).
The droll bear Paddington, the popular children’s book character penned by the British Michael Bond, who had all sorts of adventures in a foreign London, returns to his native Peru in the third part. The Brown family is traveling with them. The story of “Paddington in Peru” says that it goes straight through the rainforest to the high mountains. Filming was scheduled to begin in July, Variety reported. Brit Dougal Wilson makes his feature film directorial debut.
Banderas plays a daring boat captain, Zegler embodies his daughter. Colman plays a nun who runs a bear nursing home.
In addition to the animated bear leading actor, celebrity actors such as Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson appeared in the earlier episodes.
