Mourning Miranda Fryer – Ex-child star apparently died in his sleep

Miranda Fryer starred in the Australian series “Neighbors” as a child. Soap fans are shocked: Fryer died suddenly, she was only 34 years old.
The soap “Neighbors” is one of the longest running series in the world. In Germany, too, some TV viewers will probably remember the events on Ramsay Street in a fictional suburb of Melbourne. World star Kylie Minogue became famous through the series, which has aired on Australian television since March 1985 and was sold to dozens of countries around the world.
Miranda Fryer also took her first steps on television there – literally – she began her career with the “Neighbors” when she was just 18 months old. Now the former child star of the soap has suddenly passed away.
Fryer died in her home last Thursday at the age of only 34, her family officially announced on Monday. Her brother Jeremy also reported the “saddest news of all” on Facebook. The death of his sister came completely unexpectedly, and the family do not yet know what the cause is. However, they suspected that Miranda Fryer died of a heart condition. “If you look at our family history, it looks like your heart failed in the middle of your sleep,” he wrote. “She went quite peacefully”.

The media around the world also suspect, based on the family’s statement, that Fryer was suffering from a heart condition. However, there was no official notification of the cause of death.
It has been a while since Miranda Fryer played in “Neighbors”: From 1989 to 1991 she played the role of little Sky Deficiency there. She was the first child actress in the series, which has now shot more than 8,700 episodes in 38 seasons.

However, she did not stay in acting afterwards, but completed an art degree after high school, among other things. She later switched to medicine and recently finished training as a nurse. From the beginning of February she should have been working in a neurology department in a clinic in Melbourne and at the same time starting her master’s degree.
She got married at the end of 2020; she and her husband looked forward to raising a family. Miranda Fryer’s family is utterly shocked by her sudden death, and many “neighbors” fans mourn the loss of the young woman they still vividly remember: as little Sky in the neighborhood of Ramsay Street.
