Breakthrough with “Goodfellas”
Liotta became world famous in 1990 with his portrayal of Mafioso Henry Hill in the film “Goodfellas – Three Decades in the Mafia” by star director Martin Scorsese. In it he starred alongside Robert de Niro and Joe Pesci. The year before, he starred opposite Kevin Costner in the baseball film Field of Dreams.
