Mountain rescue rescues family from 1250 meters – Bavaria

The mountain rescue rescued a family of five from the Hochkalter in Upper Bavaria. The vacationers from North Rhine-Westphalia had lost their way in the snow on Monday on the mountain near Ramsau in Berchtesgadener Land, as the Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) now announced. Emergency services were able to locate a family cell phone at an altitude of around 1250 meters. The mountain rescue service found the parents with their three children aged ten months, twelve and fourteen and helped them descend.

Two days later, the mountain rescue service in Berchtesgadener Land rescued a couple from Hochschlegel near Forst Sankt Zeno. The two hikers from Saxony had lost their way 100 meters below the summit on Wednesday, as the BRK further announced. The reason for this was also the thick snow cover.
