It is quite possible that the star striker is still in the French World Cup squad at the age of 35, if not even at 39! That means: if Mbappe stays fit, he still has three, maybe even four world championships ahead of him.

Mbappe is chasing Klose’s World Cup record

This should give Mbappe the best chance of one day becoming the most successful World Cup shooter of all time. Miroslav Klose currently holds this record with 16 goals.

Mbappe has already scored nine goals. Theoretically, the superstar still has three games in the current tournament in which he can top up his account. Mbappe then has a few more tournaments to break Klose’s record.
