Drug investigators from the Munich customs investigation have seized more than a ton of cocaine. According to the Munich Customs Investigation Office, the find made at the end of June with a street value of more than 100 million euros is the largest single seizure ever made in Bavaria. The drug – a total of 1075 kilograms – had previously been brought in a container from Hamburg to Aschaffenburg. First, the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and the picturenewspaper reported about it.
Investigators from the Customs Criminal Police Office had therefore observed the transport of the drug through Germany for days. Three men were arrested in Hesse and are in custody. The container had been transported there from Aschaffenburg – the pictureAccording to the newspaper, however, it is already empty. Customs plans to announce further details on Monday.
