More than 80 percent of the streams exceed limits for pesticides – knowledge

Almost three kilograms of pesticides are distributed annually per hectare in the fields in Germany. Much more of it than previously thought ends up in bodies of water and damages animals and plants there. This is shown by a current study by the Helmholtz Center for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig, which was commissioned by the Federal Environment Agency.
