Spoiled for choice. This is what is looming for dry throats and stomachs jaded by home cooking as the great deconfinement of May 19 in Toulouse approaches. With a strong desire from lemonade and restaurateurs to make up for lost time by extending their terraces on the public domain, even if they will initially be able to occupy only 50%. The Capitol announces this Wednesday that in addition to the 446 terraces that it had already authorized to expand for the previous deconfinements, it has recorded “80 new requests”, being investigated by the services.

Closed streets

The boost will go as far as renewing the closure of the eight streets in the city center (Réclusane, de l’Etoile or Estrapade for example) according to an already established device and could even, depending on the requests and the possibilities offered. by traffic flows, lead to the temporary closure of new arteries.

Anticipating any complaints from residents, the town hall specifies that it will remain in its choices “vigilant to respect the tranquility of the neighborhood”, especially as the curfew must be postponed to 9 pm.

Moreover, until the end of this period of liberalities, that is to say for the time being until the end of September, traders will only pay half of their royalty for the occupation of the public domain. And no royalty at all for the long months of closure.

As a reminder, the indoor rooms of bars and restaurants must reopen on June 9, with no more than six guests per table at first.
