More than 500 police officers on the roads to supervise departures on vacation

At the start of the weekend of departures on vacation for the academies of Paris, Créteil and Versailles, several hundred police officers are mobilized to ensure road safety. From Friday to Sunday, 536 officers will be deployed at 96 checkpoints in the Paris metropolitan area, the police headquarters said in a press release. The busiest crossing points, and where the traffic is the most intense, will be more closely controlled.

To “ensure compliance with the regulations […], particular attention will be paid to dangerous behavior and vehicle equipment,” she explains. Alcohol, drug consumption, speeding or the good condition of the tires are particularly targeted.

To avoid traffic jams and facilitate departures on vacation, the prefecture invites users to consult the site https://www.bison-fute.gouv.fr/. A site reports road traffic in real time.
