More children and caregivers in Bavaria’s day-care centers – Bavaria

The number of children in Bavaria who are cared for in day-care centers has continued to rise. This was announced by the State Statistical Office in Fürth on Monday. In March, 629,104 children were housed in daycare centers and a further 12,238 children in publicly funded day care – a total increase of 3.1 percent compared to the previous year. At the same time, the number of places has also increased – by 3.5 percent to 710,851. The number of teaching staff has grown to about the same extent, namely by 3.7 percent to 109,655, the statisticians determined. If you count management functions, administration and housekeeping, 135,180 people were employed in daycare centers in Bavaria as of March 1st.
