More attempted murders this weekend

After the death of a ten-year-old child on August 21, then the following night of an 18-year-old man, the city of Nîmes was again the scene of violence over the weekend. The Raid and CRS 8 police officers have since been deployed in the Pissevin district, a hotspot for drug trafficking in the south of France. But it is this time in another city of the city, at the farmhouse of Mingue, that bursts of Kalashnikov aimed at a man who parked in the district.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, a 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the neck. Also in this case, the track of drug trafficking is favored by the investigators. Another teenager, also aged 15, was identified by CCTV footage and taken into custody on Monday morning. He could have stabbed the victim. In both cases, the victims are out of danger.

White march in Pissevin

Still on Saturday, a white march brought together around fifty people in the Pissevin district, under high police escort, to pay tribute to young Fayed, the 10-year-old boy collateral victim of trafficking in the Gard prefecture. The family of the victim, originally from Mayotte, was not present, having left for his native island for the funeral of the child.
