Most recently, the prices for petrol and diesel had double-digit increases from one day to the next. The ADAC now announces that the prices have fallen slightly.

The extreme increase in fuel prices is taking a break. According to the ADAC, prices have fallen slightly for both diesel and premium E10 petrol.

According to this, diesel cost 2.312 euros per liter on a nationwide daily average on Friday, which is 0.9 cents less than on Thursday. E10 became cheaper by 0.2 cents to 2.20 euros per liter. However, the ADAC currently sees no signs of a “serious relaxation”.

In the days before, fuel prices had risen by double digits from one day to the next, pushing them to unprecedented heights. The biggest driver is the war in Ukraine and its impact on the commodity markets. Since the war began a good two weeks ago, fuel prices have increased dramatically. Since then, diesel has increased in price by almost 65 cents per liter, and E10 by 45 cents.
