The 39-year-old was eight months pregnant when she suddenly disappeared in December 2022. The investigators have uncovered more than 700 traces, and the evaluation of traces of a car in Romania is still open.

In the case of Alexandra R. from Nuremberg, who has been missing since December 2022, the police are still evaluating dozens of leads. Investigators have already found more than 700 traces in the case, said a spokesman for the Central Franconia police headquarters on Tuesday. About 100 of them are currently still open. This also includes the evaluation of traces of a car in Romania. In the case, the Nuremberg investigators had already received extensive files from the Romanian authorities. They are currently still waiting for the tracks of the car to be able to evaluate them, said the spokesman. The missing person comes from the Eastern European country.

The 39-year-old from the Katzwang district of Nuremberg was eight months pregnant when she disappeared without a trace on December 9, 2022. She had left behind money, ID cards and a maternity card. Investigators believe she was the victim of a violent crime.

In order to advance the investigation, the police in Nuremberg had previously asked murder investigators from the Lower Franconia Presidium for help for a so-called parallel assessment. The Lower Franconian colleagues also came to the conclusion that the woman was probably the victim of a homicide. Two men from her environment are considered suspects. The police are not providing any further information about the men, citing the ongoing investigation. The whereabouts of the woman are still unclear.
