Mirco Nontschew had his greatest moments with “RTL Saturday Night”. Today, Wednesday, the private broadcaster changes its program – and remembers the deceased comedian in a two-hour special.

He was only 52 years old. Last Friday, Mirco Nontschew died unexpectedly in his apartment in Berlin. The news of the comedian’s death caused great sadness across the entertainment industry. Numerous former colleagues and companions remembered the great comedian, countless fans mourned on social media and remembered his best gags.

RTL has even changed its program for this Wednesday and scheduled a special broadcast. The two-hour format “Thank you Mirko” recalls the most famous gags and most unforgettable appearances of the 52-year-old.

It is no coincidence that this commemorative program is broadcast on the Cologne private broadcaster: Nontschew had his greatest time here when he played the comedy genre in the 1990s with Olli Dittrich, Esther Schweins, Wigald Boning and other talents on “RTL Saturday Night” revolutionized. A whole generation of viewers stayed at home on Saturday evening to see divine nonsense like “Kentucky screams fuck”, “Two chairs – one opinion” or Mirco Nontschew in “The Mente Brothers – Ali & Rudi”.

RTL will broadcast “Danke Mirco” on Wednesday, December 8th, at 8:15 pm. After it has been broadcast, the program can be accessed for streaming free of charge on RTL + for seven days.
