Italian media reported the death of football consultant Mino Raiola. But then the denial of his doctor – and of Raiola himself.

On Thursday, Italian media reported the death of well-known star football consultant Mino Raiola. The influential adviser and manager of the star striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund died at the age of 54, it was said.

The chief doctor at a Milan hospital has now denied reports that Mino Raiola had died. “I am outraged by calls from pseudo-journalists speculating about the life of a man who is still fighting,” said Alberto Zangrillo, according to the Ansa and Adnkronos news agencies on Thursday. Raiola has been treated at the San Raffaele Clinic for months.

A denial was also spread on the consultant’s Twitter profile. “Current state of health for those who are interested: I’m pissed off that they’re killing me for the second time in four months,” said the 54-year-old Italian’s verified account in English. It was not clear whether the consultant sent the tweet himself.

More on this shortly at the star.
