Ministry of Art and BKK Bavaria cooperate – Bavaria

The Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art and the Professional Association of Visual Artists (BBK) – Bavarian State Association have extended a cooperation agreement to promote the visual arts in Bavaria by three years until 2027. Art Minister Markus Blume and BBK chairman Christian Schnurer recently signed the agreement. On this occasion, Blume emphasized: “In Bavaria we are proud of our lively, diverse and inspiring independent art scene and want to continue to keep the soil fertile with tailor-made funding instruments.” Schnurer referred to the positive experiences so far and said: “Together, substantial improvements could be realized for freelance artists. Both the jointly developed program Connecting Lines and the Mobile Studio are receiving nationwide attention.” Thanks to the agreement, the Ministry of Art grants the BBK Bavarian State Association annual institutional funding. In return, the BBK supports the Ministry of Art with its expertise in the field of fine arts.
