The draft must be completely revised, said the head of the FDP Picture. “The draft was well-intentioned in terms of climate policy, but the echo is devastating economically and socially. The plans must therefore be returned to the assembly hall and fundamentally revised. A superficial repair will not be enough.” Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz (SPD) had already said in the government survey on Wednesday that the last word had not yet been spoken on this matter. The joint draft with the Ministry of Economics must first be coordinated in the government. According to this, from 2024 every newly installed heating system should be operated on the basis of 65 percent renewable energies or district heating. That would mean the actual end for the installation of conventional gas and oil heating systems.
