Miley Cyrus is spending the Grammy weekend at home on the couch. The singer was infected with the corona virus.

Miley Cyrus (29) has tested positive for the corona virus. The “Midnight Sky” singer revealed this on Twitter: “When you travel around the world, play for 100,000 people every night and meet hundreds of fans every day, the chances of getting Covid are pretty high,” she wrote there. “I have Covid now but it was definitely worth it.”

In another tweet, Cyrus announced that she had canceled her appearance at Steven Tyler’s (74) Grammy Awards Viewing Party. She is sorry because it is a charity event that is very important to her and the Aerosmith star. The singer also stated that she is fine and assured fans that they had nothing to worry about.

Proceeds from Steven Tyler’s event benefit Janie’s Fund. The initiative helps victims of abuse and neglect. Stars supporting the organization also include Jim Carrey (60), Caitlyn Jenner (72), Paula Abdul (59) and John Stamos (58).

Cancellation after storm

Miley Cyrus recently had to cancel another performance. At the end of March, the singer reported on Instagram about her trip to Asunción, which had to be broken off prematurely. The reason: “Our plane unexpectedly encountered a violent storm and was struck by lightning,” she wrote in a post. In addition, she shared a video from inside the aircraft, in which a window is suddenly brightly lit from the outside. Another photo shows a clear sheet metal damage.

However, Cyrus gave the all-clear: “My crew, band, friends and family, who all traveled with me, are safe following an emergency landing.” However, the trip to Paraguay was canceled, she continued. She wanted to perform at the Asuncionico Festival in the capital of Paraguay. Due to massive flooding, the organizers had already canceled the first day of the concert.
