Many come. Many many. The exact number of people who were driven to Germany by Russia’s attack on Ukraine can only be estimated. The authorities registered 1.1 million women and men, girls and boys who had fled the invaded country. At least 140,000 of them have moved back home, probably many more. Nevertheless, hundreds of thousands have come and stayed from Ukraine alone, plus more than 200,000 people seeking protection from the rest of the world, which is not always peaceful.
