Nicole de Moor begins every morning with a look out the window of her Brussels apartment. Every morning, she told Belgian journalists, she asks herself the anxious question: What might have happened to the people out there for whom, even though it was her duty, she was unable to provide a roof over their heads? It is estimated that around 2,500 migrants, including women and children, are currently living on the streets in Brussels’ frosty nights. Nicole de Moor says she asks herself every morning: Did everyone survive?
