If you’re looking for a model American suburb, you won’t go wrong in Birmingham. Located in north Detroit, Oakland County, the community looks like what you would imagine it to look like before Halloween. Neat houses, green lawns, colorful foliage. Pumpkins, ghosts and monster spider webs in front of the doors. Individual signs with the names of candidates in the front yards and a photo of an infant with the sentence “Save a baby” remind us of the impending fateful elections, as well as the call for a no in the abortion referendum.
