Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD), Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Greens) and many other politicians have emphasized this principle since the horrific Hamas attack. The terrorists brutally killed around 1,200 people. The federal government seems to take Israel’s protection seriously – and yet it doesn’t really take it seriously.
