The singer Mikaben, Michaël Benjamin of his real name, died following a cardiac arrest on Saturday evening after his performance with the group Carimi, at the Accor Arena in Bercy in Paris. Many tributes are pouring in on social networks.

The Caribbean musical group celebrated their reunion after six years of separation. Mikaben, friend of the group and guest, lost consciousness after his famous song “Ou Pati” (You left).

Born in 1981 in Port-au-Prince, Michael Benjamin could not be resuscitated despite the intervention of the emergency services and thus leaves Caribbean music in mourning, a little over a year after the death of the guitarist of the group Kassav ‘, Jacob Desvarieuxin July 2021.
