You can immerse yourself in the magical world of India on Friday, October 28, at a dance performance in Moosach’s Meta Theater: “Nrutyasri” Monalisa Ghosh from Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) is a guest with her ensemble, the Kalajyoti Dance Company. Ghosh learned from the rediscoverer of temple dance, Kelucharan Mahapatra, is considered one of the most important representatives of the young generation of Odissi dancers, has been awarded renowned prizes and is internationally active. For example, Monalisa Ghosh has been performing at the Meta Theater for more than ten years. She combines classic Indian temple dance (Odissi) with contemporary choreographies and elements of Indian dance theatre. All proceeds from the current European tour go to Ghosh’s school project “Kalajyoti” in India. The event will take place on Friday October 28th at 7pm in the Meta Theater, Osteranger 8, in Moosach. Admission is free, donations are requested.
