For almost 30 years, Anna Wintour has been hosting the legendary Met Gala in New York City. The event was founded in 1948 as a fundraiser for the Costume Institute and has now developed into a show for the Who’s Who from entertainment, politics and business. Each issue has a motto and the stars appear in the most unusual looks from the biggest haute couture houses.
In 2022, the committee decided on the motto “Gilded Age”. Sarah Jessica Parker, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds as well as Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk pose on the famous stairs in front of the “Metropolitan Museum of Art”. While some rely on glamorous robes with lots of jewelry and tiara, others have opted for more daring looks with a lot of bare skin. No question: The Met Gala will also be the largest fashion event in the world in 2022!
