Mesut Özil – Confidant tells TV: “Los Angeles is interested”

Things aren’t going well for Mesut Ozil at Fenerbahce right now, so he might be looking for a new club. And he could play in the MLS.
MLS club Los Angeles FC are reportedly interested in signing Mesut Özil, who has been dropped from the squad at Fenerbahce. This is reported by the Turkish football legend Ridvan Dilmen. He is considered a close confidant and role model for the 2014 World Champion.
When asked about Özil’s future, Dilmen agreed TRT: “I meet with Mesut every two weeks. I know of an interest from Los Angeles. I’ve already seen a written message regarding this.”
Reason for Özil suspension still unclear
The rumor that Inter Miami was interested in Özil was only recently circulated. So now LA: This is not supposed to be about the Los Angeles Galaxy club, but about Los Angeles FC. MLS top star Carlos Vela plays there, among others.
Özil came to Fenerbahce in winter 2021 with great expectations, but almost a year and a half later Özil is no longer part of the game. With a two-liner, the club recently announced that Özil had been suspended.
No reasons were given and to this day one is officially groping in the dark. Özil trains with the also suspended Ozan Tufan with a time delay to the team and individually. However, his advisor Erkut Sögüt recently indicated that Özil would like to stay with Fenerbahce
