Technical problems arose in the morning with the Whatsapp messenger service. In several countries, users were affected by the outage.
Extensive technical disruptions occurred in Whatsapp in several countries in the morning. Users of the messenger service could no longer send messages for around two hours. The service, which belongs to the Facebook group Meta, confirmed the disruption.
“We are aware that some people are experiencing messaging issues right now and we are working to get WhatsApp back for everyone as soon as possible,” a company spokesman said. Shortly after the explanation, the service was up and running again.
