Wolff: A podium would have been possible
Speaking of the World Cup: Among the designers, Ferrari has moved up to four points on Mercedes in the fight for P2! Toto Wolff explains at Skythat today’s race sums up the entire Mercedes season quite well.

They are now “very proud” to have finished the World Cup in P1 and P2 for the first time. “And for Max: The tire wear on the medium tire was higher than we had assumed. Ferrari was better,” admits Marko.
However: “With the hard tire he really demonstrated what he was capable of and how he could read races and how he could drive aggressively and still fairly,” he praises.
Perez is vice world champion!
He narrowly missed P2 today, but with this result he is still assured of P2 in the World Cup. This means that for the first time in its history, Red Bull occupies the top two positions in the Drivers’ World Championship at the end of a season.
They also set a new record with their 20th win of the season. And Verstappen also extends his personal record with his 18th win of the season.

Verstappen wins
That’s it, Verstappen wins the Las Vegas premiere! Behind him, Leclerc prevented a Red Bull one-two by overtaking Perez on the last lap. Ocon surprisingly comes fourth ahead of Stroll, something that no one would have expected after qualifying.
