With the EQ offensive, Mercedes tried to roll up the field of electric cars from behind. After years of hesitation, the 2019 EQC came out just six months after the Audi e-tron. However, the battery SUV was not fully convincing: too many compromises due to the old combustion engine platform. The EQV introduced in 2020 based on the V-Class is expensive and has a limited range. Which also applies to the EQA – although the small crossover model based on the GLA is by no means a space miracle.
