Do men actually know what they want in a relationship? Apparently it does! At least many men have expressed their wishes on “Reddit” – and most of them are actually not that stupid …

No, of course it is not our job to read every wish from the eyes of a partner in the relationship. But it would still be interesting to find out what men want from their dream woman – especially since some of them, like some women, find it difficult to open their mouths.

Luckily there is “Reddit”. There, numerous men have shared in a thread the one thing that their partner could use to make them happier in the relationship. Well, let’s put it this way: some of it wouldn’t just make men happier …

Ten wishes from men in a relationship

1. Self-love

  • “My girlfriend should love herself more. She is full of insecurity and self-doubt. I love her and wish she could see herself as I see her.”
  • “She should see herself the way I see her. I find her incredibly sexy. She doesn’t think so.”
  • “In all honesty, my partner should love herself more. She doesn’t have to be perfect and I wish it were easier for her to understand that.”

2. Free space

  • “She should give me more time to myself … and not take it personally!”
  • “I wish she was okay with me taking time to myself and occasionally meeting up with my buddies (for example to watch football or in a bar …).”

3. Interest and concern

  • “One of the things my wife does very well is to regularly ask me, ‘Is there something you want to talk about?’ I’m not a great speaker, but it helps me open up. ”
  • “Please at least ask me how I am! It hurts if you don’t.”
  • “She should just show interest every now and then in something that interests me.”

4. Body contact

  • “I would like more physical contact. Briefly stroke my arm, hug me from behind while I cook or something …”

5. Give in

  • “If she would just say, ‘Oh yes, I’m sorry, you were right!’ Once only …”

6. More initiative

  • “You could easily make a few plans. Start something.”
  • “I wish she’d pick a restaurant one day.”
  • “She should play a more active role in sex.”
  • “She should be making decisions like she did before she knew me. I’m totally in favor of discussing important matters, but since we’ve been married it seems like she’s lost all of her confidence.”

7. Time to relax

  • “Why can’t she let me take a nap without making me feel guilty afterwards?”
  • “She should stop complaining if I don’t do chores – I just don’t have time to do it.”

8. Thrift

  • “I wish she would stick to our budget …”
  • “She should spend less money.”

9. Openness

  • “It would be so nice if she would communicate openly and honestly with me and make clear statements.”
  • “She just has to talk to me about the important things.”

10. Do not drill

  • “Please, for heaven’s sake, don’t ask me what I’m thinking about! I’m not thinking of anything, my darling!”
