After the death of a man in a fire at his house in Memmingen, the police arrested his wife and her brother on suspicion of murder. The 38-year-old man died in the fire in early May and could only be rescued dead from the building.
The investigations of the specially set up investigation group “Smoke” led to several searches and the arrest of the two suspects this week, the police said on Thursday. There was sufficient suspicion that the fire had been set and the man deliberately killed. According to the police, the 33-year-old woman and the 28-year-old brother of the deceased have not yet commented on the allegation. Both have been in custody since Thursday.
