Zen master Othmar Franthal right the Zen garden in the meditation house in Dietfurt. The house was inaugurated in 1977 and is one of the first of its kind in Europe. The courses there are sometimes fully booked for months or years.

In the 1970s, Franciscan monks brought Zen from Japan to Europe and founded a meditation house in Dietfurt. Visiting a place where noise is only made in your own head.
