Electronics retailers Media Markt and Saturn were the target of a cyber attack from Sunday to Monday. The company immediately informed the responsible authorities, said a spokesman for the Media Markt Saturn Retail Group in Ingolstadt. All national companies are affected. In the stationary markets there could currently be a limited service for some services. “The web shops are currently not directly affected by the attack,” said the company. There is currently no need for action for customers. They are working flat out to identify the affected systems and repair any damage as quickly as possible, it said. The group, which belongs to the Ceconomy Group, operates a total of around 1000 stores of the Media Markt and Saturn chains in 13 European countries.
