Media lawyer: Would Prince Harry’s book be allowed in Germany?

Prince Harry’s book is a world bestseller – and contains all sorts of private details of the royal family. Would such a book be legally vulnerable to a German publisher? A conversation with lawyer Sven Krüger, who advises publishers on such issues.

It looks like Prince Harry’s neighbors aren’t that interested in him. Because while “Reserve”, the memories of the prince, has been sold 3.2 million times worldwide and also tops the bestseller lists in Germany with 100,000 copies, the demand in the bookstore in the small Californian town of Montecito, home of Harry and Meghan, is modest. Only about 30 books have been sold there so far, the British “Guardian” reported. Apparently not a “must read” in California, but even more so in Harry’s home country of England – with 750,000 books sold, “Reserve” is already considered a historical bestseller.
