Two Iraqis are to be deported in Schwerin. Apparently the two men barricaded themselves in a church building. The police warn of a possible dangerous situation.

During the police operation in In Schwerin because of the deportation of two Iraqis, officials advanced to a church building with a battering ram and a chainsaw. There are indications that the Iraqis have entrenched themselves, reported a dpa reporter on site. At the same time, a negotiating team is in action and is conducting talks.

In connection with the planned farewell of an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old, a major police operation is underway in the state capital. There is a possible danger, said a police spokeswoman.

The measure could not be implemented as planned. A female person was trying to prevent the farewell, it was said in the morning. The police are asking the public to avoid the area.
