Ice bathers appreciate the Baltic Sea even in the cold season. The proof is provided in Trassenheide on Usedom and in Warnemünde.

Around 30 members of the “Rostock Seals” club plunged into the 3.8 degree cold Baltic Sea in costumes for carnival swimming on Saturday. The club looks back on a tradition spanning more than 35 years. The “Rostock Seals” bathing season runs from September to April.

Numerous winter swimmers in colorful costumes also took part in the traditional ice bathing spectacle on Usedom Trassenheide announced for a wet and cold Baltic Sea fun. The event celebrated its tenth anniversary on the main beach of the Baltic Sea resort: Ice bathing was launched in Trassenheide in 2014 with 37 ice bathers and 300 spectators.
