McLaren Racing Launches Comic NFT on Tezos Ahead of Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix

McLaren Racing has launched a 7-page NFT animated series on Tezos, the team’s official technical partner. Ahead of the upcoming Singapore and Japanese Grands Prix on October 2nd and October 9th respectively, each NFT campaign will be published daily. It will start at the Singapore Grand Prix 2022, while the final work will end at the Japan Grand Prix 2022. 400 copies of each page will be created on the McLaren’s Racing Collective website and will be available for $9.99 per page.

NFT’s seven-page animated series, created by Vietnamese cyberpunk designer and visual expert Meine Nguyen, is based on the story of two McLaren apprentices who work hard at work assigned by CEO Zak Brown to Keep an eye out for the team mascot and “Head of Speed” Mr. Speedy K Kiwi as they travel around Asia.

Fans who purchase NFT will be rewarded with benefits that will give them access to the McLaren Racing team in different ways. Buying one-page comics will give fans the right to a virtual call with McLaren, and for fans who buy multiple pages. Each page counts as an entry into the McLaren raffle for prizes such as McLaren t-shirts, posters and hats, and with all 7 NFTs they will receive a free original printed 7-page cartoon. NFT will receive an invitation to call with a McLaren representative.

The campaign is part of McLaren Racing’s efforts to engage fans in Asia, home to four of the top five NFT favorite countries in the world.
