After Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension at PSG, there was heavy criticism from Spain. Now the French league boss is striking back.
Ligue 1 boss Vincent Labrune has become involved in the dispute over the Kylian Mbappe’s contract extension at Paris St. Germain switched on. In a letter, he criticized Spanish league boss Javier Tebas for his verbal attacks on the striker.
Labrune loudly called out Tebas’ repeated accusations that Ligue 1 was not economically sustainable ESPN as “unacceptable and completely untrue”.

“Their disrespectful attacks,” Labrune continued, “appear now to be aimed at Kylian Mbappe, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the world and who simply chose not to get into their league of his own accord, despite being had a similar offer.”
Mbappe surprisingly announced last week that he would extend his expiring contract with PSG, thereby rejecting Real Madrid. Afterwards, there was heavy criticism, especially from Spain.
