Matthieu Androdias and Hugo Boucheron titled in double sculls at the Worlds

For their first duet since their triumph at the Tokyo Olympics last year, Matthieu Androdias and Hugo Boucheron won the gold medal in double sculls at the World Championships in Racice (Czech Republic).

Already impressive on Friday in the semi-finals, the two Habs once again showed off their superiority. Well ahead at halfway (two seconds ahead in the 1,000 meters), the two men contained the return of the Spaniards and Australians, finally second and third, to win their second world title after that acquired in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) in 2018. Croatia of the Sinkovic brothers ranks fourth.
