Borussia Mönchengladbach will have to do without Matthias Ginter for the coming season! The 27-year-old will not extend his foal contract, which will expire in the summer. Ginter announced this on Instagram.
“After long deliberations, I decided not to extend my contract, which was due to expire in the summer. After 5 great years at Borussia Mönchengladbach, it is very difficult for me to take this step, but I have decided to do it again for my personal and professional development to take a different path in my career, “wrote Ginter.

The defender moved from Borussia Dortmund to Gladbach for 19 million euros in 2017 and has been a top performer since then. He played 165 competitive games in which he scored ten goals.
