There’s a new He-Man: West Side Story star Kyle Allen is set to star in Masters of the Universe.
A new He-Man actor has apparently been found: According to US media reports, Mattel and Netflix announced on Friday that Kyle Allen (27) will play the famous character in the planned live-action film “Masters of the Universe”. The 27-year-old just starred in West Side Story.
He-Man enjoyed great success with an animated series in the 1980s. In addition, the film “Masters of the Universe” with Dolph Lundgren (64) as He-Man was released in 1987. The story in the new film reportedly revolves around “an orphan named Adam.” He “discovers that he is a prince destined to be the savior of a far-off land”. He must quickly learn to use his power to “save his true homeland from an evil force”. Production on the film is slated to begin this summer. Netflix has already produced two animated series based on He-Man.
